OIR (pronounced "OR") is a jewelry line I started in 2009.
It all started when I left New York City and moved to a small village in Bahia (located in my native country Brazil) to live a simple and "far from the big city" life. Designing kind of happened by accident but it worked, soon enough I was selling to stores and many of my friends.
The positive feedback inspired me to start my own brand and named it OIR, RIO spelled backwards named after my passion for Rio de Janeiro's lifestyle and culture which has been a huge influence in my designs.
Being born and raised in Brazil, I am so touched by the beauty of nature and especially the beaches. I believe that the person who wears my jewelry carries the good energy and love I put into it.
Each collection is named after my favorite districts in Rio: Lapa, Santa Teresa and Ipanema.
